The Graphic Design (CTE) class is currently working on logo study and design. Within the unit they researched logos, their origins, the psychology of colors, and how the elements of art and principles of design are integral to these simple and sometimes complex symbols. They created a hand-drawn poster that incorporated as many brands as they as individuals use on a daily basis, ranging from clothing, foods, beverages, toiletries, automotive brands and associated products, all of which identify them without the use of their names. The culmination of this unit and lessons is a production logo that each student will create, which will be used on an upcoming fictional movie poster, as well as subsequent projects that they will also create using Adobe products in the STEAM lab. #BHS #GraphicDesign #BarnumBombers

Congratulations to the senior high math league team on winning the Polar Division this year. Also congratulations to Carter Hautajarvi who won the individual competition for the Polar Division. The team was well represented in the top 10 with Lucy Franek finishing 2nd, Ruth Dinger 4th, Alex Shefchik 6th, Sam Wallace 8th and Ryder Haggard 9th. Carter and Lucy have qualified for the math league state tournament on March 16th. #BarnumBombers
