During the 2024-2025 school year, over 35 community members met with 9-12 graders at Barnum, Moose Lake, and Willow River High Schools to discuss their careers and life skills. Students in specific classes met with their mentors three times and heard presentations on investing, banking, interviewing, and more! We’re excited to announce that we received a grant from Essentia Health’s Community Health Improvement Partnership Program to fully fund the program for next year—along with even more learning opportunities! Each school will also receive an allocated amount of field trip funding as well as transportation funding for career-based off-campus activities. We’re so grateful for Essentia’s financial partnership as we provide more and more opportunities for students to explore careers in our local communities! The State Track Meet began on Tuesday, June 10. BHS 24-25 Senior, Spencer, and 24-25 Junior, Julian, both state qualifiers, received a send off on their way out of town. Spencer qualified Tuesday for the finals on Wednesday in the 110m hurdles and will also compete in the high jump. Julian placed 11th in the 100m prelims on Tuesday and missed qualifying for the finals by less than 1/4 of a second. Spencer placed 12 in the 300m hurdles on Tuesday and missed qualifying for the finals by 1/3 of a second. #GoBombers #BarnumBombers
