BES 6th graders spent 3 days immersed in environmental education and team-building activities at Wolf Ridge in Finland, MN. They participated in hands-on sessions with naturalists that emphasized their role in environmental conservation and taught them to challenge themselves. Students in Mrs. Juntunen’s English classes brought their imaginations to life—literally! Using nothing but pipe cleaners and creativity, they designed unique “pipe cleaner creatures,” then wrote descriptive paragraphs to showcase their creations. The assignment challenged students to focus on strong paragraph structure, vivid details, proper grammar and conventions, all while letting their imaginations run wild. From clever takes on Forky to colorful blue and red pumpkins, creepy monsters, and curious insects, each project was a fun and creative blend of art and writing skill. #BHS #English #BarnumBombers
